About
Hi! I’m Jasmine, the maker behind Oh’eo Creations!
My sewing journey began in 2018. Although I hadn’t tried cosplay, I’d always admired the costumes and wanted to learn to make my own. Online advice suggested starting with simpler projects like pouches and totes before diving into garment sewing, so I gave it a go. However, life pulled me in a different direction, and I stopped sewing in 2019 before getting into garments.
In 2020, I dusted off my sewing machine, eager to join the mask-making efforts of the pandemic. Unfortunately, I broke a needle, and since I didn’t know how to replace it, the machine went back into storage.
Then in September 2023, I found myself in need of a very specific bag to hold my medical supplies. I'd never been one for bags, usually opting for just a wallet and chain, so I wanted something that perfectly suited my needs without any extra bulk. After repeatedly failing to find the right fit—and with some extra time on my hands—I decided to try making it myself.
To do so, I had to really sharpen my skills. I finally learned how to change my needle and started practicing with zipper pouches, reworking each one until I was completely satisfied. From there, I moved on to simple totes and eventually more complex bags. With each project, I grew more confident, thanks to encouragement from friends and family, and my love for sewing grew. Before long, I’d almost forgotten why I’d started in the first place—I no longer needed that original bag, but I’d found joy in creating simply for the craft itself.
Oh’eo Creations was born from my desire to nurture this passion and create items that would be loved and well-used, not cast aside. While I occasionally enjoy experimenting with other sewing projects, from garments to plushies, my main focus with is on bagmaking. I hope to eventually expand by creating and selling my own patterns to share with other sewists!
